Memory development - A straightforward rehearsal to improve Your Memory

I have mentioned in previous articles, that there is no such thing as a good and bad memory just a trained or untrained one. Here is an practice that you can do to help you build your photographic memory.

Do this whenever you need to do some shopping for just a few things. It is called the "body list" and it is very effective. Instead of putting your list on paper with a pen, you put your list on your body with your memory.

Lets take the top of your head, the tip of your nose, and your kneecap.

Now you need to go to the store for your daughter for some craft supplies. She told you that she needs some tape, a pencil, and a holder of pipe cleaners.

You first look at your body and remember the top of your head, the tip of your nose and your kneecap. Those are easy to remember because they are part of you. In fact, you could not forget those parts of you if you tried. So now all we need to to is to put them together.

Now we need clear vivid pictures of us taking a confident operation that will help us remember. Photograph yourself taking a pipe cleaner and putting it up your nose. I warrant you will remember that one. Next take a pencil and Photograph it balancing on the top of your head, and finally take some tape and Photograph yourself taking the end of the tape and taping it to your kneecap and allowing the tape to just hang there.

Then when you arrive at the store, all you have to remember is the top of your head, the tip of your nose and your kneecap. This technique can be productive with up to 10 body parts.
